Prepares pre-qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk of financing requests, including new requests, changed requests, refinancing and annual due diligence, within framework of the Bank’s credit policy.
Independently interacts with prospective and existing clients to collect financial statements, accounts receivables and accounts payable aging reports, rent rolls, operating statements, leases, corporate documents, environmental reports, and any other relative documents or financial reporting the Bank may deem necessary
Independently completes, financial statement spreading and cash flow analysis, utilizes data from credit bureaus and industry peer comparisons.
Monitors financial and negative covenants to ensure covenant compliance.
Provides a thorough written analysis of all credit elements including the customer’s business, loan purpose/transaction, identifying and understanding key risk factors and mitigates, loan structure, repayment analysis, risk rating, collateral analysis, financial analysis, guarantor analysis, assessment of management’s ability and any other credit elements the Bank may deem necessary.
Participates in presentations/meetings with credit administration to negotiate structuring, pricing and edits needed to highlight or mitigate credit risks; assists with presentation to the Directors Loan Committee.
Ensures thorough knowledge and understanding of compliance and regulatory issues relating to loan policy and procedures.
Informs Relationship Manager when up-to-date financial statements are needed; ensures credit inquires and UCC filings are researched to determine credit worthiness and appropriate collateral positioning are achieved.
Assists Relationship Manager in the review and renewal of credit facilities.
Assists Relationship Manager in coordinating processing of approved loans; ensures loans are processed according to agreement, customer needs and conform to Bank lending policies; obtains sufficient information and/or documentation from customers; solves problems relative to processing and servicing of loans.
Checks pledged assets as requested by Relationship Manager.
Demonstrates intermediate knowledge of financial industry status and trends, and studies industrial, commercial, economic and financial situations relating to new or existing business.
Accompanies Relationship Manager with field work, including site visits; completes a written report of findings.
Compiles relevant commodity data to establish a commodity price list to determine the economic viability of various industries.
Provides leadership and training to less experienced credit analysts and other staff members
Answers phone calls and customer inquiries.
Prepares and sends commitment, withdrawn decline letters and other forms.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Reinforces the application of superior customer service through his/her own example along with appropriate follow through with involved customers and employees.
Assures compliance with all Bank policies, procedures and processes, and all applicable state and federal banking laws, rules and regulations; adheres to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) responsibilities that are specific to the positon.
Actively participates in all Lean training and value stream mapping along with demonstrating knowledge of the Five Key Lean Principles taught. Embraces and exhibits a lean thinking mindset and applies root cause problem-solving in order to make incremental improvement through waste reduction and streamlining of work.
