DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Train and supervise staff. Assign, direct, coordinate and review work performed by staff.
Meet with each employee regularly to review performance, set goals and develop plans to hold employees accountable and improve employee’s performance. Provide feedback on an as needed basis.
Assist in coordinating enterprise financial planning and budget management functions.
Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and report to management.
Assist in overseeing daily operations of the Finance department.
Assist in preparation and first review of all financial reports.
Provide assistance to business lines with maintaining compliance and monitoring performance of product offerings through utilizing static pool and cash flow analysis.
Provide support to the Accounting function and work closely with Credit Risk, Enterprise Risk Management, and Compliance to further Credit Union goals.
Assist in evaluating merger and acquisition opportunities and lead compliance requirements with the NCUA or other associated regulators in all merger workflows.
Assist in managing the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.
Assist in preparing financial models for viability of new products and service offerings or branch and office locations.
Prepare vendor financial reviews for new contracts and for high risk vendors, as well as product investment decisions.
Maintain the Activity Based Costing Methods, Internal Transfer Pricing Model, and Budgeting systems, periodically assisting in evaluating design and effectiveness in alignment with Credit Union objectives.
Assist in preparing branch and product line profitability analysis to assist Executive Management and the Board of Directors with Strategic Planning & Decision Making.
Assist working with Human Resources to prepare annual staffing plan, calculate merit increases and performance incentives, establish and evaluate pay and incentive structures, and evaluate new benefit offerings.
Assist in working with department managers to develop a five-year business plan.
Assist in establishing short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
