Manage and coordinate the departmental grant acquisition, implementation, and maintenance process. Oversee the preparation, submission and follow-through of grant applications. Prepare grants or identify funding sources needed for specific departmental services; identify and write goals and objectives; identify resources needed to meet goals and objectives, including staffing, supplies, and equipment; prepare project description and method for evaluation; prepare cost analysis and budget. Establish procedures to assure effective program administration. Research and report on new developments in Federal and/or State legislation related to grants and other programs. Participate in the development of the office’s policies and procedures to ensure cost effective delivery of services throughout. Assist management in evaluating, planning and implementing programs and services. Ensure conformance of grant and program activities to current legal, administrative and budgetary requirements. Assist in the preparation and administration of the departmental budget. Research the availability of grant funding and evaluate the impact and effect such funding may have on the District Attorney’s Office. Identify community resources for purposes of research, program planning, information dissemination and referral. Liaison with the media, other divisions within the office, County agencies, outside State and Federal programs, and other related agencies. Conduct and attend a variety of public meetings representing the District Attorney’s Office, and explain Office programs and goals and objectives. Plan, implement, and present at conferences designed to promote District Attorney Office programs. Represent the department before legal groups, committees, organizations and agencies to explain Office programs, policies and procedures. Attend professional conferences, meetings, seminars and workshops.
